## 3DS Recommendation

The 3DS Recommendation integration offers access to Forter's [Fraud Management](/content/platform/fraud-management/ "Fraud Management"/index.html) and [Payment Optimization](/content/platform/payment-optimization/ "Payment Optimization"/index.html) if you are already integrated with a 3DS provider.

1. Send order data to Forter via Order API
2. Fraudulent transaction?
   - Yes: Forter declines and sends decline message to buyer.
   - No: 
       - Standard Authorization:
           - Forter approves, requests authorization from PSP, shares order and authorization status with Forter.
       - PSD2 Exemption:
           - Forter approves and recommends exemption, requests authorization with exemption from PSP.
       - 3DS Recommended:
           - Forter approves-or-declines and recommends 3DS, requests authorization with 3DS from PSP.
