Below are step-by-step instructions for installing Forter's official Shopify Public App. Please make sure you've selected the appropriate environment and are logged into the Shopify store you want to integrate prior to initiating the installation.

Provide your Shopify site domains - both test and production - to your Forter Implementation Engineer. You can find this in your Shopify Domains section as {your-shop}.myshopify.com
This domain will be securely added to Forter's database to allow for a seamless install.

Log into your Forter portal and make sure you've toggled to the environment you want to install your Shopify app and the environment that corresponds to the domain you've provided to your Forter Implementation team in step 1 (i.e. "myteststore" goes to your Forter portal sandbox instance, "myprodStore" goes to your Forter portal Production instance)

Initiate the Install from the app page
Log into the Shopify store you want to install and go directly to Forter's Shopify App link: https://apps.shopify.com/forter
Note - Forter's Shopify app has "hidden" status so it cannot be searched for in the marketplace. You'll need use the direct link above
Initiate the Install Provide Permissions to Forter
Once you've initiated the Installation, an OAuth handshake will occur. You'll see a Shopify screen confirming that you will be giving Forter's app customer and store permissions. Click on the Install app button to confirm the store permissions for the Forter app.

Once you've clicked and confirmed the "Install" button on Shopify, you should be redirected back to your selected Forter portal account and environment.
Visit the Portal Shopify Settings Page to confirm the installation. You should see your store domain and a list of actions for each Forter decision listed below.
Note - By default, all post-decision actions will be set to "No Action". Depending on the Forter Portal and Shopify store environment you've installed, you can adjust these configurations and create the appropriate decision tags.

Below are step-by-step instructions for uninstalling Forter's Shopify App.

To fully uninstall your Shopify app installation so that it only points to one Forter environment (i.e. Production), please follow the steps below:
1. Go to your Apps and Sales Channels 1. Go to your Apps and Sales Channels
Log into your Shopify Admin and go to your app settings. The path should be: Settings > Apps and sales channels The URL should be: [yourstorename].myshopify.com/admin/settings/apps/development.

Click into your existing app and click on the Uninstall app button on the upper right hand corner of your app settings to uninstall

Please wait at least 15 minutes AFTER uninstalling the plugin before initiating a new plugin installation on the same Forter portal site. This will allow the Forter system to clear the webhook cache and ensure a smooth re-install process.
Note: If you are changing the Shopify store you want to install, please contact Forter support or your Implementations manager and provide the new Shopify domain. This is a requirement in order to complete the installation with a new store.
