### Android Studio

### [Update your Gradle Dependencies (Required)](https://docs.forter.com/mobile-sdks/android-studio#update-your-gradle-dependencies-required) Update your Gradle Dependencies (Required)

#### [Gradle version 7.0 and above](https://docs.forter.com/mobile-sdks/android-studio#gradle-version-70-and-above) Gradle version 7.0 and above

In your **root-level (project-level)** Gradle settings file (<project>/settings.gradle), add the following repository to your dependencyResolutionManagement block:

```java
1 dependencyResolutionManagement {
2   repositories {
3     // Other repositories...
4     maven {
5       url "https://mobile-sdks.forter.com/android"
6       credentials {
7         username "forter-android-sdk"
8         password "HvYumAfjVQYQFyoGsmNAefGdR84Esqig"
9       }
10     }
11   }
12 }
```

#### [Earlier gradle versions](https://docs.forter.com/mobile-sdks/android-studio#earlier-gradle-versions) Earlier gradle versions

In your **module (app-level)** Gradle file (usually <project>/<app-module>/build.gradle.kts or <project>/<app-module>/build.gradle), add the following repository to your repositories block:

```java
1 repositories {
2   // Other repositories...
3   maven {
4     url "https://mobile-sdks.forter.com/android"
5     credentials {
6       username "forter-android-sdk"
7       password "HvYumAfjVQYQFyoGsmNAefGdR84Esqig"
8     }
9   }
10 }
```

These credentials should be included in your version control (i.e. Git) since they are non-sensitive and used primarily to restrict bot and search engine access to the repository.

### [Add the ForterSDK as a dependency](https://docs.forter.com/mobile-sdks/android-studio#add-the-fortersdk-as-a-dependency) Add the ForterSDK as a dependency

In your **module (app-level)** Gradle file (usually <project>/<app-module>/build.gradle.kts or <project>/<app-module>/build.gradle), add the following dependency:

```text
1 implementation 'com.forter.mobile:fortersdk:3.0.19'
```
